Hear from Members on......
The AgriMissouri™ Showcase;
the showcase features audio interviews, also called podcasts, with AgriMissouri™ members
describing their business and discussing issues that are important to their business or
industry. The interviews can be listened to from the web site or they can be downloaded
to an MP3 player.
Every month two new podcasts will be posted to the site. The
first podcast details how the challenges of nature affect agriculture and our members.
Schweizer Orchards,
Les Bourgeois Vineyards and
Gibbons Bee Farm
describe how each of their businesses has been affected by nature. Additional podcasts
discuss restaurants using local products, farmers’ markets, barbecue businesses and much more.
The
AgriMissouri Showcase also features a blog. A blog is an informal way to keep members
and consumers updated about what is going on with AgriMissouri and members.
Site visitors can subscribe to receive updates when a new podcast
or blog message is posted. Subscribing is totally free. It is just a way to tell your
computer that you want to be alerted whenever something new is posted.

Spring Fever
|
Many people are starting to yearn for warm, sunny days when they can get outside. Well, the days are getting longer and it's time to start thinking about spring planting.
Many garden centers offer classes this time of year to help patrons plan their landscaping. Their helpful staff can answer your questions about specific plants and suggest plants depending on the amount of sunshine or shade available in your landscape. To find an AgriMissouri garden center, visit the AgriMissouri Buyer's Guide.
Native plants are also something to keep in mind when designing your spring landscape. Missouri native plants evolved with Missouri's geology, climate and wildlife so they are a great choice for original home landscaping. The Grow Native program provides many resources for native plants. Check out their web site at www.grownative.org for more information on native plants.
